Did you know that one in every sixty-eight births are diagnosed with the Autism spectrum disorder in other words (ASD), which is about one percent of the world’s population. And that more than three point five million people in America live with a person who has the Autism spectrum disorder. We all know that Autism is a spectrum disorder in which an abnormality is developed in the brain. It is a long life condition that has no cure for itself. People who have Autism face many difficulties in their communication and their social skills. They tend to also have bipolar reactions and moods in which one minute they’d be totally fine and normal and the next thing you know it they start to act differently becoming more aggressive which sometimes causes them to cause tantrums. Autism a spectrum disorder appears in the first three years of a person’s childhood and remains a mystery because of its unknown cause and unknown cure. And for that, treatments are offered by sup port teams and doctors, schools offer special education which help families in many ways. All these resources are to help families in need who are challenged by this diagnoses. Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston was guided in his conduct of foreign policy by his belief in free trade, his determination to keep the balance of power in Europe, and his dislike of autocratic governments. Lord Palmerston became one of the politicians most known for his liberal internationalism, sometimes called liberal interventionism. His determination to see his principles turned into action often led him to some severe policies, and consequently he was seen as caustic by his rivals, earning him the nickname ‘Lord Pumice Stone’.1 His resolve to support British supremacy in all foreign matters is exemplified through his early use of gunboat diplomacy. Chinese officials refused to accept British diplomats as equals to their own e lite classes. In Jasper Ridley’s book, Lord Palmerston, Ridley explains that all communication to the Chinese government had to begin with the word ‘Pin‘ which indicated an inferior petitioning a superior.3 The fact that representatives of the British crown were made to behave like subordinates to the Chinese Emperor was seen by Palmerston as a detriment to British prestige. Palmerston made several attempts to rectify the imbalance of acknowledgment in British-Chinese relations. Palmerston’s first effort was in sending Lord William John Napier, a family friend of his, to attempt to expand trade in China and to enter into discourse on equal terms. Napier was to do this without offending the Chinese, but by acting as an envoy of the King of England on equal footing, and not as an inferior. After the negotiation led by Napier failed disastrously due to the two sides disagreeing on etiquette, Napier was forced to evacuate the country. Following Napier’s failure, Palmerston sent Captain Charles Elliot, another friend of his, to attempt the same changes that Lord Napier had attempted. Most students these days, describe high school as stressful and hard. Those are words that I would occasionally use to describe high school. The trick, however to getting through all of the work is by setting goals all throughout the high school journey. Other than getting better study habits and making good grades, my personal goals play a big role in my academics. In fact, my goals are the very oars in the high school boat that help keep me moving in the correct direction to success. My number one goal, is to always look towards the future. Many new â€Å"adults† take on responsibilities that they just dont know how to handle. They are so used to acting like kids that responsibilities and any adult work becomes almost unbearable. Thus, they get pushed into situations that they never once thought that they would ever have to be in. The reason being is, instead of thinker of the future, they have decided to live in the present. I am forced to pay more attention to what is required of me to become who and what I need to be. On a small scale, my academic goals are mostly based around my grade. I spend much of my time questioning how good my grades are and how I can plan ahead and set benchmarks for making better grades. Sometimes my goals for academics include reading more, studying more, learning to be more calm, and even find ways I can do things more efficiently and effectively. If I practice creating goals, have a plan on how to reach my goals and eventually obtain these goals, the traits and what I now learn will carry on with me into my future. My future is the exact place that I look forward to everyday of my life. My dream is to one day become a cinematographer. This is the type of job that requires many skills to be good at what you do. As a professional career, many things can dictate my future in film. This includes the way I plan, the way I handle goals, and everything in between. I know that without proper goal setting, I wont get too far in life. I have to plan, work hard and always look ahead.
